The Hungerford Lodge of Freemasons runs its own charity known as the Benevolent Association. We are registered with the Charity Commission as Charity no 297597. Over the last 5 years the Hungerford Lodge Benevolent Association has donated over £25,000 to local and national non-Masonic charities including:
- The Bruce Foundation Motor-home in conjunction with the Berkshire Masonic Charity
- Shalbourne Church of England Primary School – Outdoor Classroom project
- John O’Gaunt School, Hungerford
- Great Bedwyn Church of England Primary School
- Great Bedwyn Swings and Slides
- Great Bedwyn Playgroup and Toddlers
- The Bruce Trust

- Phoenix Brass
- Help for Heroes
- Scotty’s Little Soldiers
- Newbury Weekly News Over 80’s Parcel Fund

Under the terms of our Association we can provide grants to assist the following:
- Children / Young People
- Elderly
- People with disabilities
- Other charities or voluntary bodies
- Other Defined Groups
